HyperLaw Successfully Completes Penetration Testing with Network Security Experts Sec-1

HyperLaw are extremely pleased to announce that network security experts Sec-1 have successfully conducted high-quality external penetration testing on HyperLaw as part of HyperLaw’s ongoing security environment and reported no significant vulnerabilities. The result is great news for HyperLaw and of course our customers who require totally secure and reliable class-leading case preparation software.

Sec-1 are CREST and CHECK ‘Green Light’ accredited and offer first-class network security solutions. They apply the best and most up-to-date security testing methodologies to critically assess the security measures of an application and recommend what vulnerabilities need to be addressed head on. Their proven track record and vast experience in security testing made them an obvious choice for managing the test, and the fact they are aligned with what we and our customers expect from a supplier was the icing on the cake. A quality security testing service that inspires us and our customers with confidence over data security is exactly what we wanted to deliver through this exercise, and as a company, we are delighted it was a huge success.

Why Did HyperLaw Undertake Independent External Penetration Testing?

It’s quite simple. Our customers data is at the heart of everything we do, therefore ensuring HyperLaw remains totally secure and robust from any security threat is paramount.

One of the ways we maintain and continually improve our security standards is by conducting rigorous external penetration testing on HyperLaw. The test is performed by a security expert who will critically assess the security measures our software has in place and log whether the security infrastructure successfully shields the software from any potential vulnerabilities. It identifies weaknesses and then tests that controls have been implemented correctly. All of which helps us to deliver a completely reliable product that not only meets but exceeds our customers’ expectations.

Why is Data Security Important to Law Firms and Barristers’ Chambers?

Data security has never been so critical to Law Firms and Barristers’ Chambers than it is today. The National Cyber Security Centre on the 19th July 2018, claimed:

60% of Law Firms reported to have suffered an information security incident over the last 12 months

Knowing 60% of Law Firms experienced an information security incident from July 2017 to July 2018, goes to prove the ever-growing importance of developing secure software that provides customers with complete peace of mind and tremendous confidence. Hackers are continuously seeking new ways to exploit vulnerabilities in software and the last thing a Law Firm or Barrister Chambers’ needs is a software provider that has total disregard for staying ahead of the curve when it comes to data security.

At HyperLaw, we are proud to say that we take data security very seriously.

We will continue to prioritise investment for maintaining and improving our security infrastructure, so that our customers have complete confidence in knowing their data is secure and that any risk of losing data is significantly reduced.
